News for the next gen.
VICE is a news media company that has offices in 35 cities across the world and makes 1700 pieces of content every day through five key lines of business: VICE.com, an award-winning international network of digital content; VICE Studios, a feature film and television production studio; VICELAND, an Emmy-winning international television network.
I joined VICE as the Lead Product Designer in mobile, leading the way in VICEs new mobile app refresh on both iOS and Android devices. I worked closely with various teams from stakeholders, directors, and developers to bring the new app from to life from sketches, wireframes to the final polished and shipped product.

Let's polish this experience.
I worked in parallel on both iOS and Android designs for mobile and tablet versions across multiple verticals.

Tablets for the masses.
As much as I love mobile, I found the tablet version to be a fun place to try some new design exploring, such as using long touch to preview show details to a new more robust custom video streaming player experience.

Channels refresh.
The current video pages needed some restricting and bring with it more ways to learn about your favorite show and explore not only that show but easily exploring other shows related to it as well.

Streaming to the max.
Since we were doing a refresh of the app, I wanted to step outside of the product scope a bit an offer some new video player designs which would help the user have a more in-depth experience and offer more access to other content without leaving the current screen. I designed a unique interface that allowed a video to be playing, and offer a user a means to explore other shows and get meta data all at the same time. The player can be compact to easily view or open the user interface and explore around without missing a beat on your show.
