Cleaning up.
BP is one of the world’s leading international oil and gas companies . BP operates their market of products in more than 80 countries, providing our customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services and petrochemicals products for everyday items. In April 20, 2010 the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded, and underwater cameras revealed the BP pipe was leaking oil and gas on the ocean floor about 42 miles off the coast of Louisiana. By the time the well was capped on July 15, 2010 (87 days later), an estimated 3.19 million barrels of oil had leaked.
BP reached out to Merchantcantos a design agency to handle the making of their new environmental information website and create a new online reputation to help tell and education people on the progress of the Gulf oil spill. I Led in the design of the new site from basic user flows, wireframing, testing, and final design.

Let's keep this site clean.
I worked closely with our BP client and provided a very minimal yet informative packed site that made use of nature photography, light tones and blue accents to help set the tone of clean and fresh.

Interactive articles.
To help uses stay informed we linked BPs blog to State of the Gulf and generated stylized and formatted articles pages on the fly. We also created interactive data maps for users to better see the overall impact of the spill in there area.
